What: A survey about local administrators’ views and decisions on zoning for utility-scale solar energy systems, led by researchers at Iowa State university
How: To participate, scan the QR code below or go to https://go.iastate.edu/RUGYBS. Please enter the 6-digit one-time password provided in the invitation email to access the survey.
Purpose: Local zoning regulations are important factors in the development of, or lack thereof, utility-scale solar energy systems. The set of zoning regulations in a local community is determined by the specific situations of the community. A better understanding of the important factors and challenges involved in local communities’ zoning practices regarding utility-scale solar energy will help improve the design of extension programs to enable local communities to make more informed zoning decisions.
Details: The survey asks about local land use and zoning related issues and should take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
Reward: We offer a gift card of $15 to thank you for taking the time to complete our questionnaire. We will send an electronic gift card to the email address you provide.
Contacts: Dr. Hongli Feng, Dr. Elizabeth Hoffman or Luke Seaberg at Iowa State University (ISU) for questions and comments about this survey. ISU’s Compliance and Ethics Hotline (515-294-7119) for concerns about this study.
