Primary Application Category:land use change assessment
Secondary Application Category:hydrologic assessment
Watershed Description:8.23 km^2 Watershed II, located within the 150 km^2 Walnut Gulch Expt. watershed in southeast ArizonA, U.S.
Calibration Summary:Annual (1966-74) r2 = 0.57
Validation Summary:
General Comments:SWAT and the event-based KINEROS model were tested against measured flows. Increasing the number of rain gauges from 1 to 10 improved the r2 from .33 to .57. Optimizing the curve number improved the r2 from .46? To .57. SWAT was judged to be able to logically reflect runoff response due to changes in land cover.
