General Comments:This study is part of a 10-paper special EUROHARP issues published in vol. 11 of the J. of Environmental Monitoring. It does not describe any actual SWAT applications but provides detailed characteristics of the 3 core watersheds and 14 non-core watersheds used in the study; SWAT was applied to the three core watersheds and some of the non-core watersheds as described in other studies included in the 10-paper special issue.
