Model: | SWAT |
Broad Application Category: | hydrologic only |
Primary Application Category: | groundwater and/or soil water impacts/processes |
Secondary Application Category: | evapotranspiration assessment |
Watershed Description: | 246 km^2 Panther Creek, 122 km^2 Goose Creek and 188 km^2 Hadley Creek, which are located respectively in north central Illinois, east central Illinois and west central Illinois, U.S. |
Calibration Summary: | |
Validation Summary: | monthly surface flow, groundwater flow, & total streamflow r2 values: Panther Creek (1951-52) = .82/.40/.78 Goose Creek (1955-57) = .79/.38/.63 Hadley Creek (1956-58) = .94/.51/.95 |
General Comments: | Comprehensive hydrologic validations including assessments of surface runoff, groundwater flow, groundwater ET, soil profile ET, groundwater recharge, & groundwater heights were performed with SWAT. It was found that each component of the model produced reasonable output and that realistic interaction occurred between the different model components. |
