Watershed Description:1682 km^2 Vantaanjoki (southern Finland)
Calibration Summary:daily (1982-84; 295 km^2 subbasin) E values: flow = .81 sus. sed. = .44 total N = .61 total P = .74
Validation Summary:monthly E values at outlet: flow (1965-98) = .87 nitrate (1974-98) E = .34 total P (1974-98) E = .62
General Comments:SWAT was judged to adequately replicate observed baseline flow and nutrient losses for the entire watershed. 230 Monte Carlo simualtions were then performed for 6-year period of 1985-90; sensitivity analysis of hydrologic-sensitive parameters including the curve number and available water capacity. The impact of measured transient climate change was assessed for 1965-98. Decreases in snow cover and increased winter runoff were found. Small increases in annual nutrient losses were predicted (with some large seasonal effects).
