Model: | SWATMOD |
Broad Application Category: | hydrologic only |
Primary Application Category: | model and/or data interface |
Secondary Application Category: | irrigation impacts or irrigation BMP scenarios |
Watershed Description: | Rattlesnake Creek, located in south central Kansas, U.S. |
Calibration Summary: | |
Validation Summary: | graphical comparisons of measured and simulated streamflow |
General Comments: | SWAT was linked to the MODFLOW groundwater model to create SWATMOD. The hybrid model was used in conjunction with a grpahical user interface and a Decision Support System (DSS) to evaluate water rights and agriculutral land use scenarios on stream and aquifer responses. A variety of withdrawal rate management scenarios were simulated. An extensive sensitivity analysis was also performed. |
