Watershed Description:134 km^2 Aar River, located in the Rhenish Massif region about 60 km northwest of the City of Frankfurt in Germany.
Calibration Summary:daily 1986-88 E = 0.86
Validation Summary:daily 1983-85 E = 0.69
General Comments:Describes an application of the Shuffled Complex Evolution (SCE) genetic algorithm; 18 parameters were explicitly optimized and 365 equations formulated to establish links to other parameter values. Over 20,000 simulations were performed. The validation E improves to 0.84 if selected 1984 extreme events are removed. Graphical results are shown.
