Broad Application Category:hydrologic only
Primary Application Category:model and/or data interface
Secondary Application Category:irrigation impacts or irrigation BMP scenarios
Watershed Description:Rattlesnake Creek, located in south central Kansas, U.S.
Calibration Summary:
Validation Summary:graphical comparisons of measured and simulated streamflow
General Comments:SWAT was linked to the MODFLOW groundwater model to create SWATMOD. The hybrid model was used in conjunction with a grpahical user interface and a Decision Support System (DSS) to evaluate water rights and agriculutral land use scenarios on stream and aquifer responses. A variety of withdrawal rate management scenarios were simulated. An extensive sensitivity analysis was also performed.
