Jacobs co-authored the article "Research Priorities for Agricultural Cooperatives and their Farmer-Members" with Michael Boland of the University of Minnesota, Brian Briggerman of Kansas State University, Phil Kenkel of Oklahoma State University, Gregory McKee of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and John Park of Texas A&M University.
