Lim Receives USDA grant to study geopolitical risks to US agricultural supply chains

Associate Professor Sunghun Lim received a $150,000 cooperative agreement from the USDA Office of the Chief Economist to study how trade policy and geopolitical disruptions affect the resilience and competitiveness of US agriculture. The two-year project will examine how shocks involving energy, fertilizer, transportation, and global trade can influence both farm input costs and access to export markets. The research will also evaluate strategies that could help US producers better withstand future supply-chain and trade disruptions.
