Professors John Crespi and Peter Orazem were interviewed on the September 9, 2026 episode of US Farm Report College Roadshow. The episode focuses on recent news surrounding beef imports and US tariffs on foreign products. About beef imports, Crespi said "If Americans find themselves questioning American food products, which have always had the highest quality, if they start questioning that, it puts downward pressure on the price from the demand side." Orazem said that "How much [recently announced beef imports] [are] actually going to affect prices [...] is going to be relatively modest. We're talking about a 2% surge in supply in the short run."
