Gassman receives USDA NIFA grant

Research Scientist Phil Gassman was announced as the recipient of a $16,847 grant from the US Department of Agriculture's National Institute of Food and Agriculture for the project "Integrated Hydro-economic Land Use Modeling for Nutrient Runoff Management." Gassman will work with researchers at West Virginia University and provide leadership regarding the development of landscape configurations and parameters to represent different cropping systems, and in-field and edge-of-field conservation practices, for both baseline and scenario applications of the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) eco-hydrological model.
