Dentzman wins Rural Sociological Society's Best Paper Award

Assistant Professor Katherine Dentzman was presented the Best Paper Award at the Rural Sociological Society's Annual Conference, which was held in Salt Lake City, Utah, from July 30–August 2. Dentzman won for her article "A Fair Comparison: Women's and Men's Farms at Seven Scales in the United States," which she authored with Paul Lewin of the University of Idaho. The article uses 2017 Census of Agriculture data to compare women and men farmers at 7 different farm scales, revealing gendered strategies and comparing men and women farmers on equal footing.
