Watersheds: Maquoketa River Watershed (MRW)

The MRB covers about 4,900 km2 of predominantly agricultural land in northeast Iowa. It is one of the 13 tributaries of the Mississippi River and contributes significantly to the nutrient contamination mainly through agricultural nonpoint source pollution.
