County-wide LDPs and Marketing Strategies

Check daily Loan Deficiency Payment (LDP) rates for your crop and county. For corn and soybean LDPs, you can also evaluate the expected returns and risks of three alternative marketing strategies:

  1. taking the LDP now and storing the crop until summer;
  2. putting the crop under loan and storing until summer; or
  3. taking the LDP, hedging, and storing until summer.

All of these strategies are evaluated using the most current projections from the July futures contracts.

Crop year refers to the year in which the crop is harvested.
